Juany Torres, a McCullum HS grad, has watched San Antonio through the NOWCastSA lens from her dorm room at Stanford University, from Florence, Italy, from Oxford, England and from Washington D.C. We met her for the first time IRL on Dec. 19, 2012 at the NOWCastSA Open House. The photo on the computer is of Robbie Greenblum, Chief of Staff for Mayor Julian Castro, at the SA2020 at McCullum High School in late 2010. During our live webcast, Robbie was chatting with the online audience, which included Juany!

Question by Timberrr: How can I stop annoying chat requests in Yahoo mail from bots even when not online?
I don’t even go into the chat rooms very often, but when I check my Yahoo mail, there are usually several messages from what I strongly think are ‘bots’. I’ve tried every remedy suggested by Yahoo answers, but they keep turning up. I’ve been a Yahoo user for almost two decades and this is getting annoying enough to make me quit using Yahoo altogether.

In the Chat box click the small arrow, then click Sign out of Chat. It won’t bother you until you decide to use it.
